There have been million pound homes sold in and around Newton Abbot for many years. Transactions of this type were, until recently, rare but are becoming far more usual. This is down to the buoyant property market, limited supply of exceptional homes, and the South West enjoying some of the largest price rises in the country over the last 12 months. Coast and Country sold our first one back in November 2017, achieving a sale price of just under £2,000,000. More recently, we have seen an increase in the number of high-priced transactions. Our sellers have been extremely surprised by the high level of the guide prices recommended and the levels of interest from both local buyers and those moving to the area. In some instances, they have received multiple offers, tens of thousands above guide, leaving the vendors with the decision of who to sell to. So far this year, Coast and Country have listed more homes in TQ12 between £1,000,000 and £3,000,0000 than any other agent according to Rightmove. We expect this trend to continue and to agree an increasing number of sales above the magic million-pound mark this year. If you are considering selling a home in a council band F or above, please contact Michael Griffiths, partner at Coast and Country, on 01626 366966 for specialist advice on the marketing of premium homes. You may well be surprised at the prices they are achieving.
